Indiana PRS would lose $6.7 billion over 10 years if ESG funds banned – report

"The House bill would require INPRS to divest from money managers or funds in which the retirement system invests that incorporate environmental, social and governance factors, but also from money managers that "pursue or market ESG investments for other clients,"

"Indiana Public Retirement System, Indianapolis, will be prohibited from investing with money managers that utilize non-financial ESG factors in their funds if a bill passed Feb. 2 by a committee of the Indiana House of Representatives becomes law. However, a report estimated that such a law would result in billions of dollars in lost investment returns."
