Texas laws targeting ESG have cost taxpayers $270 million, study says

A pair of state laws targeting the environmental, social and governance movement have cost Texas taxpayers an average of $270 million a year in debt-related costs

“If you’re going to be anti-fossil fuels, if you’re going to demand certain policies before you loan companies money, then we’re not going to do business with you", Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said in January.
